Being an Atlas Corps fellow based in Washington DC comes with a lot of amazing opportunities to network and meet with some of the most influential global world leaders. I had a life changing opportunity yesterday when I attended a briefing by the President Obama’s Global Development Council. I had the chance to meet and chat with fellow Zimbabwean, Dr James Manyika who is the Director of the McKinsey Global Institute and a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company. He is also the Vice Chair of President Obama’s Global Development Council. On behalf of Opportunities for Zimbabweans I had an opportunity to ask Dr Manyika a quick advice on what skills should young people in Zimbabwe be focusing on today to make them relevant to the future of work.
