And so 2013 has come to an end. It was a year of mixed emotions, a year of a lot of new experiences. Whilst I had my disappointments I count a lot of blessings as well. One of the most fulfilling experiences was that I spent time with myself, away from my comfort zone. I celebrate spending time at my host organization and I celebrate my professional growth. One of the most memorable experiences about 2013 was meeting and spending time with amazing fellows from all over the world who each taught me something. I go back home enriched and I look forward to an even better year. I go back to a country that is not doing so well economically and politically with a hopeful heart. Whilst the year ahead is already threatening to be a not so good one, I am determined like never before to rise above the challenges.
