Emilie is a multilingual global citizen, social entrepreneur, non-profit leader, and consultant. She has an undergraduate degree in History and Latin American Studies from the University of Toronto, in Canada, a Graduate Specialization in Conflict Resolution from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Bogota, Colombia, and an MBA focused on Global Entrepreneurship from the University of Miami, in Florida. In 2007, Emilie founded a non-profit organization that has taught conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and social impact leadership skills to over 12,000 children, youth, and adults throughout Colombia and in Central America. She has been Executive Director of a non-profit that promotes entrepreneurship among global youth, has developed partnerships and led workshops as part of a movement to promote socially-responsible entrepreneurship throughout the Americas, and has developed an ethical fashion business that works with artisans and reinvests in their communities. Emilie has been a consultant to non-profit and business organizations since 2013, and as part of the Global Ties U.S. Network has led the design and execution of numerous U.S. Department of State-funded projects, including the Miami programming for 4 cohorts of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI).
