Atlas Corps is pleased to announce two new additions to our Board of Directors. Chet Kuchinad, Chief People Officer at Save the Children International, joined the Board in December 2021. Puru Trivedi, Vice President of External and Corporate Affairs at Meridian International Center joined in June 2022.

They both bring diverse and global perspectives, decades of professional leadership experience from the corporate and nonprofit sectors, and are committed to support Atlas Corps mission and our efforts to scale our impact over the next years. Meet our Board of Directors on our website.

Atlas Corps also expresses our appreciation for the years of service and leadership provided by our outgoing Board members, Mike McCabe, Hajira Khan and David Waithaka. We look forward to continued contribution to Atlas Corps as they transition to a new role.


Atlas Corps New Board Members

Chet Kuchinad, Chief People Officer, Save The Children International

Chet Kuchinad joined Save the Children International as Chief People Officer in October 2016 reporting to CEO Helle Thorning-Schmidt. He is responsible for the development and delivery of People/Organisation/Culture and Child Safeguarding strategies. He is the principal advisor to the Board Chair and the CEO on all matters relating to People & Organisation and Safeguarding.

Chet brings unique sector experience from Retail, Consumer Products, Private Equity, and International Non-Profit where he led and contributed to business growth and value creation through people. He has successfully led and implemented programs in complex geographies, business structures and environments. He has hands on strategic and operational experience not only in Europe but also in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and N/S America. He has a successful record of guiding founder leaders (Starbucks, Nike) through challenging business environments. He has provided thought leadership to Boards and guided Remuneration and Risk Committees in multi sector settings.

Chet’s Global Human Resources and Business breadth covers iconic global brands like Starbucks Coffee, Nike and McDonald’s. His leadership positions include senior business partner roles that cover complex geographies, business structures and new market development. He has a successful track record of building and sustaining business performance through employee engagement. His leadership philosophy is grounded in principles of Servant Leadership, and in the fundamental belief that exceeding employee expectations through clarity of purpose and roles is critical to business success.

Chet has a MS in Statistics from Marquette University and a B.Sc. in Statistics and Economics from the University of Bombay.


Puru Trivedi, Vice President – External Affairs & Corporate Affairs, Meridian International Center

Puru Trivedi is Meridian’s Vice President of External and Corporate Affairs, with direct responsibility for managing and curating the Meridian Corporate Council, along with leading a team of 14 focused on Institutional Advancement, Corporate Affairs and Communications across the organization. Prior to joining Meridian, Puru worked across the financial services, policy advocacy and consulting industries. Most recently, Puru was Head of Services to Government for APCO Worldwide and Deputy Country Director for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce / US-India Business Council in New Delhi. While at the US Chamber, Puru represented the policy advocacy agenda of major US companies to the Government of India. Prior to joining the USIBC, Puru worked with private equity secondaries with State Street in Boston and Fimeris/Fidequity in London. He started his career with Salomon Smith Barney Citigroup in Manhattan and Bank of America Private Bank in Boston.

Puru is on the Board of the United Nations Association (NCA), Fiscal Note Executive Institute in Washington, the US-Mexico Foundation (YAC) Board, and the Project X Global Advisory Board in London, UK. He attended Boston University’s School of Management for a B.Sc in Finance, and received an MBA with honors from Babson College’s Olin Graduate School of Business in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Puru is fluent in Hindi and conversant in Spanish, and has travelled to 45 countries. He has published articles in The Diplomatic Courier, The Washington Diplomat and Modern Diplomacy EU, and frequently comments on US-South Asia relations. Originally from the Greater Boston Area, Puru has lived, worked and studied in Saudi Arabia, England, China and India. He, his wife Kriti Doval and daughter reside in Washington, DC.
