The last weekend turned out to be a pretty long one because of the Labor Day on September 3rd and that’s when I and my Gang decided to go explore the National Harbour, despite the sun shining its brightest and hottest.
This guy truly fascinated me and all other statues that stood on the pathway. So close to real life, as if he would just get up, dust off his hands and hair and start walking around, all of them :/ Man has power and talent beyond his own imagination.
But there were two particular places that won my heart. I will start with the first one and I shall come back to it again.
The Candy Kitchen!!
Man, there were candies and caramelized apples and pretzels and marshmallows and s’more candies and then candies!!
And my second really favorite place turned out to be the Gaylord National Resort. They had this amazing garden indoors and glass rooftops and it was as if we all became a part of a movie scene for a while.
All in all, a day well spent with friends! It’s amazing how having someone you connect to, can make such a huge difference especially when you’re in a land you have never seen before when everything is so different and new that things that you had always known or seen.
