On March 23-24 I had the amazing opportunity to attend to the 2017 NTEN Conference in Washington DC. It was a great chance to meet other nonprofit professionals working in the Tech world.

We’re working on launching Atlas Corps Tech this year, and I was especially excited about being invited to attend as it provided some great ideas on how technology is the new ally for social change.

I really enjoy being a social media ambassador, and this forum was an excellent opportunity for me to connect with likeminded people and hear some great ideas and stories that I would like to replicate in my home country Venezuela and also during my Atlas Corps Fellowship.

From this incredible conference I had an interesting revelation: With the rising of the importance of women work in the tech world, now we can know that we are active drivers of change in local communities. Through tech for social change, we can have the major role of engaging people at the grassroots level and a role in communicating key knowledge to a wider society.

#17NTC showed me that with right commitment and adequate use of the different media and tech platforms, women can fulfill key roles—and that way make the most effective transformation of the world into a better place for all.
