Samantha joined the Atlas Corps team as a Program and Development Associate in the Summer of 2015. She graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Global Studies, focusing on Latin American countries. During her time in college Samantha spent a semester as a congressional intern in Washington D.C. through the UC Washington Academic Program. Her intense interest in other cultures and passion for education resulted in Samantha accepting a teaching position at a college in China. After China, Samantha proudly served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine where she was an instructor of business and conversational English at the university and high school levels. She partnered with USAID on HIV/AIDS education projects and also worked with the U.S. Embassy sponsored Windows on America. She is most proud of organizing a seminar for local English teachers as well as assisting high school students in applying for the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program, which helped her students experience different cultures and ways of life. Outside of work Samantha is an avid traveler, runner and hiker, most recently tackling the Inca Trail in Peru.
