Meredith is responsible for Fellow support, recruitment, and program promotion. She served as an AmeriCorps VISTA with Church World Service’s Immigration and Refugee Program in Greensboro, N.C., where she coordinated housing for over 250 newly arrived refugees, attracted and managed in-kind donations, recruited volunteers, and wrote a successful grant application. She then served as a Staff Assistant at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where she supported both the Center for Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) and the Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE). Her duties included accounting, website management, and planning events, including a global research conference on social entrepreneurship. Meredith’s interest in nonprofit work originated in college when she interned at the Boys and Girls Club and STRIVE (a workforce development agency), volunteered for a summer in Peru through ProWorld, and was actively involved in her college radio station. An award-winning baker, Meredith graduated from Duke University with degrees in Economics and Political Science, and later earned a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke.
