Mary was the COO of Dictyon Language School.  Dictyon trained Department of Defense students in various foreign cultures and languages before they were deployed to their various in country assignments.  Prior to that she was the Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Development Office of Georgetown University.  During her time there, she was responsible for creating the communications, branding and events for the launch of the school’s ‘For Generations to Come’ campaign which raised 1.67 billion dollars surpassing the goal of 1.5 billion.  In addition, some of the marketing collateral she and her team created won awards.

Mary has several years of experience in fundraising, marketing, communications and politics. Before going to Georgetown, Mary worked at NBC for over 15 years.  During her time there she worked on NBC’s various initiatives including the marketing and communications efforts for the launches of NBC/CNBC Europe and Asia, managing strategic partnerships — which included Microsoft/MSNBC and launching their first cross media sales efforts.  Before joining NBC, Mary worked for Senator Edward M. Kennedy and Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy, II as well as other Kennedy family members.  She also served as the first Director of Development for Best Buddies International.
