Joshelyn joined Atlas Corps in the Spring of 2019. As the Recruitment Associate, she supports the social media, email, and web-based efforts for the international promotion of the Fellowship to potential applicants.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a specialization in Public Advocacy from Ohio University. She also received a minor in Anthropology as well as obtained a Diversity Studies Certificate and War and Peace Studies Certificate.
Fueling her love for cultural affairs and transnational and service projects, Joshelyn went on to complete a masters in Public Anthropology from American University. Throughout those three years, she conducted research in Kenya, worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer and served as a Peace Corps Community Youth Empowerment Volunteer in Fiji. When she wasn’t teaching computer literacy, she wrote her thesis on the under reported health impacts on the region in the wake of Cyclone Winston and sat as the Communications and Research coordinator for Peace Corps Fiji’s Gender and Development Committee. She speaks Fijian and Italian.
