Born and raised in Frederick, Maryland Courtney graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a minor in nonprofit management and a concentration in Accounting from Hood College in May 2021. Previously Courtney was a Nonprofit Management Fellow in RespectAbility’s National Leadership Program, a nonprofit organization fighting stigmas and advancing opportunities so that people with disabilities can fully participate in all aspects of community. In Spring 2021 Courtney joined the Atlas Corps team as the Development Intern, where she processed donations, prospected for sponsors and provided logistics for their Hail and Farewell Celebration and Recruited over 150 applicants for the Hilton Humanitarian Prize Laureate Virtual Leadership Initiative and Indonesia Public Sector Leadership Initiative. She also extended her internship to assist with US government grants, of which was approved. Courtney currently serves as the Special Projects Assistant, primarily assisting the CEO and CSO administratively and coordinating the American Express Leadership Academy Alumni network. In her free time, she enjoys reading and taking photography. She is also an active volunteer in her community and has worked with organizations such as the American Cancer Society, the Arthritis Foundation, and the Community Foundation.
