Alissa Fernandez joined the Partnerships team at Atlas Corps in 2017 as a Partnerships Associate. Currently as Partnerships Director, she is responsible for setting the strategic direction and goals for partnership recruitment and stewardship, as well as recruiting and advising prospective Host Organizations as they consider, select, and support Fellows. Additionally, Alissa chairs the Racial Equity, Diversity & Inclusion taskforce at Atlas Corps.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Alissa graduated from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Culture and Politics and a certificate in Women and Gender’s Studies. As part of her studies, she spent a semester abroad in Santiago, Chile enrolled in local universities studying ethnicity and gender in Latin America.
In her free time, Alissa enjoys traveling, trying new recipes, and can always be found with a cup of coffee!
