Nada Mohamed
SudanNada Mohamed is an international development practitioner, with six years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Nada earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Al Neelain in Sudan and a Master’s degree of Science in International Development from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. She undertook her Master’s thesis on the impact of social norms and displacement in exacerbating women’s vulnerability to violence. In doing so, she spent three weeks at the Rohingya refugee camps, interviewing women and girls of various ages and abilities, using qualitative approaches of key informant’s interviews, focus groups, and case studies. As Donor Services and Communication Coordinator, she managed the donor’s biannual reports and communication with various stakeholders within the project. Nada has been working with the British Council in Sudan for four years. As a Program Coordinator, she led research projects and liaised with various divisions, managed the reporting schedule, and participated in project cycles from initiation to closure. Nada has also been actively engaged with the equality, diversity, and inclusion team. She initiated the first internship for people with disabilities and contributed in building a network of community-based organizations and government entities representing PWDs. Through these experiences, she developed strong project coordination, implementation, and research skills. Nada enjoys focusing on topics of refugee and humanitarian relief, disability rights, and women rights.
