Stéphanie Andrianaivoravelo has two years of experience in the non-profit sector, and earned a Bachelor’s of Information and Communication. She works as a Communication Officer within Cétamada, an association for the conservation of marine mammals and marine habitats in Madagascar. She collected more than 2000 euros to support the association’s community training and health center in order to finance the training in crafts for women in precarious situations. This initiative has benefited sixteen households that have been able to complete their training and create their small businesses. Stéphanie has carried out numerous projects to promote responsible and sustainable tourism, such as training specialized guides in responsible cetacean observation and developing communication materials. She raises the awareness of the local population to the dangers of plastic waste, she is involved in the regional project of monitoring and evaluation of marine waste on all Malagasy coasts.
