Salem Adebiyi is a passionate environmental health expert with strong capacity-building and project monitoring & evaluation skills acquired over seven years of progressive experience in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Salem earned a Master’s degree in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology from the University of Benin, with professional trainings in research development. He is currently the Program Manager at Kivos Institute of Health Safety and Environment Foundation, a nonprofit established to enlighten individuals and SME employees on healthy habits, occupational safety, and environmental protection, thereby ensuring best practice and compliance within and outside their work environment. He has trained over 300 employees on the need for compliance to international OHS standards. The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) gave him an award in 2013 for revamping and equipping the dilapidated science laboratories at St. Charles Grammar School in Osogbo for use by over 200 students through personal sourcing for funds amounting to $986; and for organizing environmental health campaigns and sanitation of public places with over 200 participants. Salem is interested in health, environmental protection, research, and education.
