Leysan Sharafutdinova is an ambitious and diligent worker with four years of experience in the social change sector. In 2020, she obtained Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Translation. She also took part in an international academic exchange between Bashkir State University in Ufa, Russia, and Nanchang University in Nanchang, China. She completed a 5-year academic program in 4 years. She started her social impact experience in 2016 while teaching English in All-Russian Public Organization of Persons with Disabilities. In 2017, she joined the international youth non-profit organization AIESEC and started working in Global Volunteer department creating social projects based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. She was elected as the Head of Incoming Global Volunteer department in AIESEC in Ufa and also as a National Support Team member of the national association AIESEC in Russia. In 2019, she became a team member of the World’s Largest Lesson in Ufa — a socio-educational event powered by UNICEF. The World’s Largest Lesson successfully taught more than 600 students of 5 public schools with the help of more than 40 Russian volunteers from 10 Russian cities and 20 international volunteers about Global Goals for Sustainable Development. During the pandemic, she created a new AIESEC product called Local Volunteer which has won the External Relevance Award of the national association and became a national product of AIESEC in Russia. Local volunteer projects now have changed lives of more than 400 people in Ufa. Currently, Leysan works as the Head of Incoming Global/Local Volunteer department of local committee of AIESEC in Ufa and is constantly developing in her teaching career. Recently, she has successfully completed the Global Education Cluster Core Coordination Training by UNICEF.
