Elena Ivanova has four years of experience in the non-profit sector, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Regional Studies, and graduated summa cum laude from Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University. Currently, she works with SDG Academy translating subtitles for ‘The Best Start in Life: Early Childhood Development for Sustainable Development’ and performs the same duties as a translator for Isha Foundation in India. Previously, Elena participated in other volunteer projects in Russia and worked abroad as an English teacher by conducting workshops in local schools to promote global citizenship and education. Elena worked for two years at the local Iron and Steel Works and was in charge of projects related to dedusting system installations in the factory shops in cooperation with Austrian companies. She also translated technical documentation and had tasks such as conference interpreting and proofreading. During her time working as a volunteer, Elena acquired skills of cooperation, conference management, consecutive translation, and CAT-tools usage. Developing the non-profit sector became Elena’s goal, and she aims to expand her knowledge on the subject of youth empowerment, migrants, and children’s rights. Elena wants to gain more experience in human services, human rights, and peace organizations.
