Daria Nefedova has nine years of experience working in the for-profit and non-profit sector. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Area Studies from Lomonosov Moscow State University and a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Higher School of Economics. Starting her career as a secretary in 2011, she has grown to be a personal assistant to the CEO. Since 2019, she has focused on civil activism in terms of human rights and vaccination issues. Daria volunteers in OVD-Info, where she consults people detained and explains how they can protect themselves at police stations and in courts. She also translated special reports prepared by OVD-Info for international organizations on violations of the right to peaceful assembly in Russia. In 2020, she joined a volunteering team from the Sakharov Center and took part in two campaigns in support of political prisoners. Daria writes previews of certain events on social networks and communicates with potential media partners. Her second priority is public health and promotes vaccine prevention in Russia by writing monthly reports. Due to this, she has gained valuable experience in digital storytelling and social media strategy. Daria strongly believes in the power of solidarity, good communications, and common sense.
