Antonina Oblasova has three years of experience leading a popular science blog about vaccinations. In 2020, she became the director of the NGO “Herd Immunity,” of which she is a co-founder. In 2009, Antonina earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biology from Staint Petersburg State University in Russia. She worked in the commercial field for a while, where she gained useful skills in marketing and networking, among others, which proved to be very useful in her work in the non-profit field. Antonina believes that the lack of awareness from health care workers and patients about vaccination leads to people not believing vaccines are effective and safe. Through her work on social media and as an NPO director, she plans to make a difference by creating an environment with accessible and understandable information about vaccines.
