Atlas Corps celebrates its 15th anniversary! It is time to celebrate the achievements of our amazing network of over 1,100 leaders from 110 countries and share stories on the global impact of our Alumni, Fellows, and Scholars.

Today we speak with Atlas Corps Scholar Boris (Cohort 3, Russia) from our Virtual Leadership Institute. He is currently working on an online learning platform that focuses on increasing the use of technology in education. He is also the Project Manager at Accenture, a Fortune 500 company that provides IT services and consulting.

Social Issues that you have worked with: Quality education

Tell us about projects you have worked on and why it is important for you to work towards quality education?

Because of my interest in implementing innovative projects within the spheres of education and culture, I collaborated closely with government colleagues who were able to implement my new projects into real life. Through my project, ALPHA NG, I am working to increase the penetration of Innovative IT technologies into the educational sector. ALPHA NG is an online learning platform (LMS based on Open Source Moodle) with artificial intelligence (ALEKS web-based connectivity with API) and clustering algorithm including Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Social Network Analysis and Predictive Modeling (Statistical; Machine Learning).

How has Atlas Corps contributed to your professional and personal accomplishments?

I am proud to be one of the change leaders from Russia! Participation in this program significantly strengthened my leadership skills and provided me with the opportunity to join a growing network of global changemakers.

What is your favorite Atlas Corps memory?

Attending the leadership events and peer coaching calls.

What advice do you have for applicants and current Scholars?

Something that I found very exciting about the Virtual Leadership Insitute is that serving in a multicultural environment can expand your horizons and inspire creative ideas. I encourage others to take part in this program because the more people who achieve their goals and contribute to the world, the better off we all are. You will be closer to achieving your life goals, especially when you start implementing what you learned in this program. Advice to all applicants and current Scholars—Never give up!

What message would you like to send to individuals who support Atlas Corps?

I thank you for your support and enthusiasm during all eight months. It is truly an honor to be with a dynamic group of global change leaders!
