In present situation it is very essential to cultivate tolerance for different cultures and their ways of living. Pakistan’s culture is enrich in traditions and represents history of this region. Pakistani people and society is unique in its way of life, thoughts and morals. The inhabitants of each province have diverse cultural values which make them different from other groups of the society. All of these provinces have their own regional languages. As such Punjabi, Pashtu, Sindhi, Balochi and Kashmiri are regional languages. However, Urdu is the national language which is spoken and understood in all parts of the country.

Pakistani culture is rich in variety of dresses; these dresses are very colorful and prominent and give attractive look during national fairs and festivals. The culture of Pakistan has great tradition of fairs and festivals. These fairs are held in all parts of the country, Polo festival of Gilgit is prominent at national and international level. Pakistani people are great lovers of sports and games. Modern games like hockey, cricket, football, badminton, squash, table tennis and lawn tennis are played throughout the country. Pakistan has produced great sportsmen in the past. Pakistan enjoys great distinction in handicrafts at international level. Wooden furniture of Chiniot, sports goods of Sialkot and embroidery of Multan and Hyderabad is world famous. Pakistani music is represented by a wide variety of forms. It ranges from traditional styles such as Qawwali and Ghazal to more modern forms that blend traditional Pakistani music with Western music. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was internationally renowned for creating a form of music which synchronized Qawwali with western music.

I had represented my country to share its culture with different people and it would be an interesting and fascinating job for me. I found myself able to share all the above mentioned information because I have profound knowledge and exposure to Pakistan’s culture and ways of living of its people. The most efficient way to share culture of Pakistan with people, who may not know it, is to let them experience it by celebrating fairs and festivals, by presenting them national dresses or by entertaining them with Pakistani music.
