I just came across this inspiring video by one of my favorite nonprofits in Sudan, Salmmah Women’s Resource Centre. For the second year in a row, the Centre celebrated the One Billion Rising global campaign – this time with a deeply entrenched grassroots approach, spreading outside of the capital (Khartoum) and utilizing art and culture to further raise awareness about laws and governance of women’s issues in Sudan.
