I seem nice, but I kill people in my mind. I usually use a pistol. I never use a knife. A knife is too personal, too close. To look into your victims eyes before his/her life is gone it might be a disturbing felling. Furthermore, I believe a pistol increases my chance of succeed. I think most of people would agree on that. Perhaps that’s why mass killings in the USA are undertaken mainly by people with small fire guns. This is a sad routine that kills around 30.000 Americans per year.  Uncle Sam now sees the obvious, more guns doesn’t mean more security. In fact, usually means more deaths (1) and more donations for electoral campaigns (2).

In view of that, it is very natural that some leadership in the Brazilian Parliament strongly supports the idea of more flexible gun control rules.  More guns, more campaigns donations, and a false “security felling” for the “good taxpayer”. It seems just perfect. I believe the USA has many things to serve as an example to Brazil. A true federalization of the states is one of them. But an open gun policy definitely is not. The bill always arrives, and in this case American families are paying a price way too high.
