Zunaira Ali is a content and communications expert with over five years of diverse experience in Pakistan’s development and public sector. Over the past four years, Zunaira has focused her expertise on social causes including education, gender empowerment, youth development, climate change and development in the startup ecosystem. Zunaira works with startup founders, mentors, investors and industry experts to take the startup ecosystem to the next stage and to continue making a social and economic impact across the Globe and especially, in Pakistan. Her current role is Youth Engagement Fellow, YouthPower2: Learning & Evaluation (YP2LE), with Making Cents International. In this capacity, Zunaira’s responsibilities include providing support to activities for YouthLead.org, a website supported by YP2LE that is designed to inspire, support, and foster connections among young changemakers around the world. Additionally, as a Youth Engagement Fellow at Making Cents, Zunaira conducts outreach and polling of youth networks to identify in-demand topics, content, and resources for the platform and its related learning events. As an Atlas Corps Virtual Leadership Institute scholar, she joined hands with NGOs to train women in using the Internet through a “Digital Literacy Program” and trained over 200 women from mainly rural backgrounds. Through these experiences and more, Zunaira has developed strong community engagement and digital marketing skills. With a strong passion for digital empowerment, talent and gender development, she continues to strive towards helping people upscale and become a better version of themselves.

Host Organization: Making Cents International

Role at Host Organization: As the Youth Engagement Fellow, Zunaira will support multiple youth engagement activities for YouthPower2: Learning & Evaluation (YP2LE). The Fellow’s responsibilities include providing support to activities for YouthLead.org, a website supported by YP2LE that is designed to inspire, support, and foster connections among young changemakers around the world. In addition, the Fellow will work on outreach and polling of youth networks to identify in-demand topics, content, and resources for the platform and its related learning events. The Fellow will also work in close coordination with key youth networks including our YouthLead Ambassadors and our YP2LE Youth Advisory Group (YAG) to support outreach and peer-to-peer outreach on what issues, skills and resources are in-demand among young people.
