Said Hassan

Said has 9 years of experience in the nonprofit and business sectors and and holds a BBA in Business Administration. Said is the acceleration and community engagement manager at Gaza Sky Geeks, the first and only accelerator in the Gaza Strip. He has worked on co-designing and overseeing the execution of Gaza Sky Geeks’ acceleration and incubation program, leading to Gaza’s first real equity investment. He also oversees and executes events like Startup Weekend, Startup Grind, multiple entrepreneurship bootcamps, and Gaza’s first ever “Hack-a-thon.” Said began as a junior marketing consultant at Sadaf Technology Development in Gaza, one of the fastest growing tech startups in the Arab world. Later, he worked as a Marketing Manager for Souq.com, the largest e-commerce platform in the MENA region and the best IT company according to the 2013 Gulf Business Awards. Said is an award-winning graphic designer from Linux and winner of the 2013 Best Facebook Marketing Award by the Pan Arab Web Awards.

Host Organization: LaunchGood

 Role at Host Organization: Said will serve as a general campaign coach and assist with MENA outreach strategy. He will support campaign creators from across the world in achieving their dreams by helping them execute successful crowdfunding campaigns.
