Okwudirichukwu Alu has seven years experience with both local and international partners in the nonprofit sector, designing project plans, and monitoring and evaluation. He has been a crucial team player for REACH Initiative, where he worked as the Assessment officer for the Joint Market and Monitoring Initiative (JMMI), carrying out Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) Assessment, and also working with Premiere Urgence Internationale Nigeria as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. While working for Global Environmental Health Solutions a local nonprofit Organisation, he was able to develop a help desk system that served as a complaint responsemechanism assisting the organisation in getting feedback from the communities it served. Alu has extensive experience in leadership and management roles and is always willing to offer support and network with teams. Currently, Alu is a Monitoring and Evaluation Fellow with The Climate Initiative. In this role, Alu focuses on bringing and utilizing data to demonstrate The Climate Initiative’s impact as it can be mapped against our overall theory of change. He has a Master’s degree in Environmental engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria.

Host Organization: The Climate Initiative

Role at Host Organization: As the Monitoring and Evaluation Fellow, Okwudirichukwu’s role is focused on bringing and utilizing data to demonstrate The Climate Initiative’s impact as it can be mapped against the overall theory of change. The Fellow will work with the TCI programs and policy teams and TCI Executive Team on projects related to climate action and building out metrics and tracking frameworks.
