Julienne has seven years of experience in the media and communications sector, having studied Communications Technology Management and earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. Since 2011, Julienne has been based in Hong Kong working in communications and publishing. Most recently, Julienne has worked to coordinate media and public relations for the Forbes Under 30 Summit Asia 2018 which recognizes youth leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs in the Asia Pacific Region. Julienne is also passionate about advocacy work, specifically in raising awareness about the global illegal wildlife trade. In 2016, Julienne co-authored a book, Love Is Wild, with a renowned Asian environmentalist in partnership with non-profit Project C:Change. Post publication, Love Is Wild was accompanied by a fine art photography exhibition and TV series on global warming / climate change, the poaching of endangered species, and other related issues. Julienne’s other published works cover topics such as gender and women’s issues, public health and racial discrimination.
Julienne is well-versed in graphic design via Adobe Photoshop, publishing software such as Adobe InDesign and front-end web development using WordPress. She is a seasoned content creator who can accomplish top-of-the-line newsletters, decks / presentations, reports and other forms of media from digital to visual in a timely fashion. Moving forward, Julienne is committed to pursuing a global career doing communications for international non-profits and leading world organizations.
Fellow role at Episcopal Relief & Development
Julienne will serve as a Marketing and Communications Fellow, monitoring developing written and visual content for online and social media platforms based on internal strategy. Additional responsibilities include developing and producing stories and increasing visibility and awareness of the internal NGO.
