Ivetta has six years of experience in the nonprofit sector in Russia and earned a Master’s degree in Political Science from The Saint Petersburg State University. In 2018, as a development consultant for The Foundation for Cancer Prevention, she worked to develop an educational startup for future public health practitioners and promote the solutions for screening and early diagnosis of cancer in Russia. Previously, Ivetta worked as a Development specialist at the EVA Association where she raised funds to provide peer-to-peer support for HIV positive women in Saint-Petersburg, developed the network of HIV-positive women. As a part of her work in EVA, she coordinated a capacity building program for over 50 HIV-activists from 20 regions and consulted them on strategic planning, fundraising, advocacy. For three years she worked to provide food, shelter, social and legal support for homeless people in Saint Petersburg and to reduce stigma and discrimination against them. Ivetta has also served as a member of the Russian delegation on The UN Commission on the Status of Women NGO Forum. Ivetta is passionate about gender equity, evidence-based solutions in policy-making, and social art. In the future, Ivetta wants to pursue Ph.D. in Poverty, Inequality, and Development and start working as a policy planning consultant for international and local organizations in the former Soviet region.

Ivetta will serve as a Development Consultant, leading UJC’s grant writing efforts, heading some of the social media strategies, working on the annual report to encompass the Urban Justice Center’s new direction and helping to revamp a new incubator program.
