Alisa has more than four years of experience in the nonprofit and private sectors. Alisa earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from National Research University – Higher School of Economics in Russia, and a Master’s degree in Political Science, Security, and Diplomacy from Tel Aviv University in Israel. As an undergraduate student, Alisa spent a semester at the University College London (UCL), the U.K. and pursued an exchange program at the University of Entrepreneurial and Social Sciences (UCES), Argentina. For almost three years Alisa worked at SIGNAL (Sino-Israel Network and Academic Leadership). While working as a Project Manager for SIGNAL, Alisa managed numerous projects including building academic and research partnerships, supervising publishing activities, leading government outreach, hosting delegations, and conducting site visits. Previously, Alisa volunteered at the nonprofit Casa da Arte de Educar, Brazil where she designed and taught classes to children and teenagers on the topics of human rights, sustainability, and millennial goals. Alisa also volunteered as a Program Coordinator at the EducationUSA, Moscow, where she oversaw the activities of Competitive College Club of Russian high school students aimed at developing leadership, teamwork and communication skills. Through these and other experiences, Alisa developed strong expertise in project coordination, organizing academic conferences and seminars, government relations and volunteer management. Alisa is interested in the topics of education and its impact on development and peacebuilding. She has a strong passion for cultivating cultural awareness and promoting cross-cultural dialogue.
