Apply for the Atlas Corps: Singapore Emerging Leaders for Economic Growth Initiative
Deadline extended to January 15, 2022.

Be one of the first Atlas Corps Scholars from Singapore!

The Atlas Corps: Singapore Emerging Leaders for Economic Growth Initiative is supported in part by U.S. Embassy Singapore and is looking to recruit emerging Singaporean entrepreneurs, economic development professionals, and social impact leaders to participate in our Virtual Leadership Institute. The goal of this initiative is to enhance participants’ skills and capacity to lead ventures and initiatives that strengthen entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystems and generate inclusive economic opportunity and growth. This initiative will build economic security and prosperity in Singapore, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the broader Indo-Pacific region, while strengthening ties between the United States and Singapore.

The Atlas Corps Virtual Leadership Institute is an online learning community for global social impact professionals based on our established leadership development curriculum. Participants, known as Atlas Corps Scholars, enhance their professional skills, build their global networks, and prepare for leadership in their home communities.

Format

The Leadership Institute is organized into five online learning modules: Orientation, Developing Self, Developing Others, Leading Movements, Reflection. This online program includes keynote speakers, interactive workshops, self-led activities, discussion groups, and community-building activities with leading U.S. organizations and leaders. The Singaporean Scholars will participate in these activities in collaboration with each other and peers from around the world.

Scholars will design and implement Leadership Projects, which can be an activity, training session, and/or venture. Example projects include workshops that provide entrepreneurship tools for women or youth, a series of webinars on how to find support in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, STEM education workshops, a hackathon that connects innovators from the region around a shared purpose, an online database or app that helps organize and unite the entrepreneurial ecosystem, or an initiative that brings Singaporean and U.S. entities together in support of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Singapore. Scholars who successfully complete program requirements will be eligible for our Community Impact Fund, small grants of $400-$800 to support implementation of their Leadership Project.
