When and how did you first learn about Atlas Corps?

Atlas Corps Founder, Scott Beale, reached out to me on LinkedIn one day to see if I’d like to become more involved with Atlas Corps. After doing some research, I said yes!

Why did you decide to support the Atlas Corps Community?

I believe firmly in Atlas Corps’ global leadership development model. Fellows deserve to take the stage on an international platform and be recognized for their outstanding contributions to society. We have so much to learn from each other–as Paulo Freire said, “Knowledge emerges only through invention and re-invention, through the restless, impatient, continuing, hopeful inquiry human beings pursue in the world, with the world, and with each other.” The greatest education happens through mutually respectful exchange and dialogue, and Atlas Corps aids in that effort.

How has the Atlas Corps Community impacted you?

In my time partnering with the organization, I’ve seen such thoughtfulness and intentional focus on the well-being of the Atlas Corps community. From hosting mental health and well-being webinars to hand-delivering care packages to Fellows during COVID, it is clear that Atlas Corps treats its Fellows as a family; it has been wonderful to see such a nurturing environment embedded into a professional development program, and it’s inspiring.

What message would you like to send to individuals who are thinking of supporting Atlas Corps?

Today, more than ever before, geography means so little, yet cultural intelligence means so much! As we continue to build a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive global community, Atlas Corps provides an essential opportunity for introspection, two-way dialogue, and rapid innovation amongst our global leaders. Who wouldn’t want to invest in that?
