Washington D.C. (August 1, 2016)Atlas Corps Founder and CEO, Scott Beale, received the distinct honor of being named to the “Power & Influence Top 50 2016” by The NonProfit Times.

The list, in its 19th year, annually honors the nonprofit sector’s most influential leaders. This recognition is an organizational milestone that recognizes the achievements that Scott and Atlas Corps have made within the sector through the innovative use of long-term professional exchange. It is a recognition especially significant as Atlas Corps celebrates 10 years in 2016.

“This honor is a team win for Atlas Corps,” shared Scott. “It reflects the achievement of our 10 years of developing leaders. It is also a result of our partnership with the White House and State Department, the Emerging Global Leaders Initiative. It is a testament to our amazing Fellows, wonderful Host Organizations, and incredible team.”

Under Scott’s leadership, Atlas Corps launched an innovative method of developing and connecting global leaders by providing 6-18 month, overseas fellowships for nonprofit professionals from around the world. The Atlas Corps network includes more than 500 leaders from 76 different countries who have served at 200 Host Organizations in the United States, Colombia, and Australia.

Atlas Corps congratulates this year’s nominees and gives a special shout out to individuals from our Host Organizations, which include: American Express Foundation, InterAction, Save the Children, and the UN Foundation.

Scott Beale and the other awardees will be honored at a ceremony at the National Press Club next month.
