Erica S. Weisgerber, Associate, Debevoise & Plimpton LLP

Erica S. Weisgerber is an attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, whose practice focuses on a wide range of civil litigation, with an emphasis on mass torts, bankruptcy litigation, and antitrust matters. Ms. Weisgerber received a J.D. magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 2008, where she was Order of the Coif and Managing Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. She received a B.A. magna cum laude from Georgetown University in 2005. From 2009 to 2010, she clerked for the Honorable Joseph Bianco of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Gary Y. Chyi, Of Counsel, Kirkland & Ellis LLP

Gary Y. Chyi is an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he practices commercial litigation. Mr. Chyi received a J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 2004. He received an A.B. magna cum laude from Georgetown University in 2001. From 2005 to 2007, he clerked for the Honorable Ann Aldrich of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He has known Scott Beale, Atlas Corps's founder, since college, and is elated to have this opportunity to take part in Atlas Corps's growth.

Joshua J. Marcuse, Founder and Chairman, Young Professionals in Foreign Policy

Joshua J. Marcuse is the founder and chairman of Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP), a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization committed to fostering the next generation of foreign policy leaders. He advises individuals and institutions on how to engage young professionals in the foreign policy community, and frequently speaks to students and recent graduates about careers in international affairs, leadership, management, entrepreneurship and civic participation. Marcuse chairs the YPFP Board of Directors and oversees an all-volunteer staff of more than 150 emerging leaders around the world who manage YPFP’s communications, finances, global operations, membership, programming, public service and technology.

Marcuse is a senior consultant in the Modeling, Simulation, Wargaming & Analysis division of Booz Allen Hamilton, a management and technology consulting firm. He currently works in the Pentagon supporting clients in the Office of the Secretary of Defense with the development of strategies for working with international and interagency partners to address shared national security challenges. Previously, he worked as a research associate at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Marcuse serves on the Board of Advisers of Next America, a project of the Center for Strategic & International Studies, is a Truman Security Fellow of the Truman National Security Project, a Next America Fellow, and a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies. Marcuse was an Aspen Scholar at the 2009 Aspen Ideas Festival and is a member of the Aspen Socrates Society.

Marcuse graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with honors in government. His thesis, The Arsenal of Democracy in the Age of Terror: Evaluating the Effectiveness of Military Assistance as a Counterterrorism Strategy, received the Chase Peace Prize.

After national security, his true passion is cooking. Marcuse is from New York City.

Kathleen Duffy, U.S. Department of State

Kathleen Duffy is dedicated to protecting human rights in politically-repressive or high-conflict environments. She currently provides strategic oversight of $40 million in closed society human rights programs for the State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL). Prior to joining DRL, she spent three years in Cuba as a political officer at the U.S. Interests Section, where her portfolio included civil society engagement and political prisoner conditions. A refugee attorney by training, Kathleen was appointed a Junior Professional Officer with UNHCR Colombia after completing a post-graduate fellowship with CODHES, Colombia's leading NGO on internal displacement. She also served as a legal advisor in the University of Cape Town's Refugee Rights Clinic, in South Africa. Kathleen received her BA from Yale University and her JD from the University of Michigan. A proud Kentuckian, she believes in homemade pie and Derby hats, and lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, two children, Cuban cat, and Colombian dog.

Maja Vujinovic, Founder, Orpheus Investments

Maja Vujinovic has a strong on-ground experience in Emerging Markets and advises private companies and governments on growing their businesses and policies in: energy/renewable energy, agriculture, mining, real estate and non-profit, throughout. She has lived and worked in 18 different places around the world.

She has an experience in negotiating minefield of political interests including mitigation of potential long-term effects on the investments and local communities while focusing on long term growth (merging government, local and commercial needs).

Ms.Vujinovic, is an active Committee Member at World Energy Forum. She is also a member of the organizational committee and a panelist at the G8 Young Summit and the Nexus Youth Summit, where she speaks on Investing in Frontier Markets: Growing and Managing Business, Corruption and Diplomacy in Different Cultures.

Ms. Vujinovic´s life philosophy has been deeply influenced by her experience as a child living through the war in ex-Yugoslavia and her life throughout three continents. She gives her time and fundraising ability to charitable organizations; serves as a mentor, tutor and motivational speaker for children in various African schools and public institutions.

Ms. Vujinovic received her J.D. from Emory University, Master´s certificate in diplomacy and negotiations from Georgetown University and her undergraduate in International Affairs and Economics from Georgia State University.

Patrick J. McGinnis, Managing Partner, Dirigo Advisors

Patrick McGinnis is the Managing Partner of Dirigo Advisors, which provides strategic advice and early-stage capital to investors and businesses in Latin America and other emerging markets. Previously, he executed private equity investments at both PineBridge Investments and JP Morgan Partners, with particular emphasis on Latin America. An avid traveler, Patrick has visited 60 countries. He blogs about travel and innovation for The Huffington Post and is a member of the Business Advisory Network of NESsT, Patrick is a graduate of Georgetown University and Harvard Business School. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

Steve Anderson, Foreign Service Officer, U.S. Department of State

Steve Anderson grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and received a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma in 2005. He joined the State Department as a Foreign Service Officer in 2006. He has served in Islamabad, Pakistan; Dublin, Ireland; and Manila, Philippines. He is currently living in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Emily. He loves to travel and enjoys trying the weirdest foods he can find (which grosses out Emily).

Teresa S. Weber, Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Manhattanville College

Teresa Weber is Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Manhattanville College, a small liberal arts gem nestled just outside of New York City. Teresa is a relationship builder who oversees the College's alumni relations and annual giving functions, supports special projects and manages high-level prospects in the Philadelphia and Washington, DC metro-area. She has spent the whole of her career fundraising for the non-profit education sector after graduating with a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 2002. She also holds an M.S. in Leadership and Strategic Management from Manhattanville College.
