DC Friends

Join the DC Friends of AtlasCorps

The DC Friends of Atlas Corps will be the official welcoming committee for the Fellows during their stay in the U.S. We are truly friends of the Fellows, ensuring they have an incredible experience with Atlas Corps and an enjoyable stay in Washington, DC. As a DC Friend of Atlas Corps, you will be a part of a fun team of people who socialize with and guide the Fellows through a myriad of social, cultural, and educational events. Generally we will be planning events on the last Friday of every month. Please take a look at some of our upcoming events. If you'd like to attend any events or help organize an event, please fill out the RSVP page.

Become a part of the 12-Person Leadership

The DC Friends of Atlas Corps is run by a group of 12-Person Leadership. Each leader agrees to take the lead on one of the social/cultural events during the year. The lead volunteer is then supported by the Chair of the DC Friends and works with one of the current Fellows on the event. These events can be happy hours, pumpkin pickings, ice skating, Kennedy Center shows, baseball games, or just about anything. The 12-Person Leadership members also commit to going to most of the events during the year. This is a low-effort, high-reward volunteer activity and there are currently positions available.

Become a Social Sponsor to a Fellow

In addition to DC Friends, we're also looking for dedicated "social sponsors" to serve as direct points of contact for Fellows during smaller weekend activities as well as in cases of emergency. For more information or if you would like to become involved in putting on these events and interacting with the Fellows, please send an email to Scott Beale at scott [at] atlascorps.org
